Whether you’re monitoring fox activity around a release pen, watching a bait point, checking deer movement along a well-used trail or simply finding out what’s visiting a particular part of your ground, the ZEISS Secacam 3 gives you a discreet pair of eyes in the field – day and night.

The Secacam 3 combines excellent low-light performance with fast triggering and 4G/LTE connectivity, allowing images captured by the camera to be transmitted directly to the ZEISS Secacam app on your phone.

See What’s Moving – Day or Night

Foxes and deer are often at their most active when light levels are at their worst. The Secacam 3 uses a highly sensitive image sensor together with 60 invisible 940nm Black LEDs to produce well-illuminated night images without a visible flash that could alert or disturb wildlife.

ZEISS IR Boost technology is designed to provide excellent infrared image quality while retaining the discreet nature of 940nm illumination – particularly useful when monitoring wary foxes or deer.

Images Sent Straight to Your Phone

The built-in LTE/4G connection and multi-roaming SIM automatically select from available mobile networks rather than tying the camera to one particular provider.

When the camera detects movement, images can be transmitted to the ZEISS Secacam app, allowing you to monitor activity without repeatedly visiting the camera and potentially disturbing the area.

Through the app you can also check battery status, see the camera’s position on a map, manage settings and organise your images.

A connected trail camera can be an extremely useful tool when trying to establish the movements of a fox.

Position the Secacam 3 overlooking a bait point, release pen, gateway or well-used route and you can establish whether a fox is visiting and build up a picture of when it is most active – without having to physically check the camera every day.

Excellent for Deer Monitoring & Management

The Secacam 3 is equally useful for understanding how deer are using your ground.

Placed along woodland rides, deer trails, feeding areas, gateways or other likely crossing points, it can help identify species, numbers and patterns of movement.

Remote image transmission also means less disturbance around sensitive areas, helping you build a more representative picture of normal deer activity.

Fast Enough to Catch Passing Animals

A trail camera isn’t much use if the animal has disappeared out of frame before the shutter fires.

The Secacam 3 offers a fast 0.35–0.45 second trigger time and a detection range of up to 25 metres, helping it capture animals moving through woodland rides, gateways, tracks and other regularly used routes.

The PIR motion detection system is designed to detect both smaller and more distant animals as well as larger species such as deer.

Easy to Set Up in the Field

A hinged 1.9-inch display provides a live view while positioning the camera, making it much easier to see exactly what will be in frame before you leave it.

A dedicated TEST button also allows you to check your setup quickly without having to work your way through menus.

Built for Year-Round Use

The rugged housing is designed to cope with the changing conditions encountered outdoors throughout the year, from rain and winter cold to summer heat.

Intelligent flash control adjusts infrared illumination according to conditions, helping to reduce overexposed images while avoiding unnecessary battery consumption.

Power comes from 8 AA batteries, housed in a removable battery magazine for straightforward replacement in the field.

Why We Like the ZEISS Secacam 3

For fox control and deer management, the real advantage of a connected trail camera isn’t simply collecting pictures – it’s knowing what’s happening without continually going back onto the ground.

Set one overlooking a fox bait point and you can establish whether a fox is visiting and roughly when. Put one on a deer trail, woodland ride or feeding area and you can build up a much better picture of how deer are using the ground.
